This morning we got up and took the bus at a quarter past eight. Before that, we grabbed a sandwich from a small Spanish bistro nearby. During the bus ride, we made a few stops and passed a forest area where one of the biggest wildfires of 2023 had happened. We could see that the native pine trees of Tenerife are already regenerating, while the trees that were added later are still struggling to grow back.
After a few short breaks to look around, we arrived at the lower station of Mount Teide and took the cable car up to the top station. From there, we hiked along a trail until we reached a viewpoint where we could even see another smaller volcano near Teide. Unfortunately, we had to turn back quickly because we were running out of time to catch the cable car down.
Back at the lower station, we drove deeper into the Teide National Park, where we explored the area a bit more and enjoyed the amazing views of the valley. You can see all of this in the photos we took and in our vlog that we recorded during the trip.
In the afternoon, around 3 p.m., we went to the beach in Puerto de la Cruz. We went swimming in the big waves, played volleyball and football, and had a lot of fun together. Later, we did some shopping to prepare for the next day. In the evening, we played cards and ate pizza together on our rooftop terrace — the perfect way to end such an awesome day!
